Section 23000 - Definitions
(a) For the purposes of this subchapter, the following definitions apply regarding industrial hemp:
(1) "Detectable" means any amount of analyte, subject to the limit of detection.
(2) "Limit of detection" means the lowest quantity of a substance or an analyte that can be reliably distinguished from the absence of that substance within a specified confidence limit.

1. New article 1 (section 23000) and section filed 9-23-2024 as an emergency; operative 9/23/2024 (Register 2024, No. 39). Pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 110065(b)(3), this action is a deemed emergency and effective for 180 days. A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 3-24-2025 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
