Section 7006 - Renewal of SEP CertificationPursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 121349, certification shall be valid for no more than two years and may be renewed by the department.
(a) Before the end of the two-year certification period, the SEP administrator may communicate to the department by mail or email to request renewal of certification for an additional two years.(b) Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 121349, the department will consult with the local health officer and local law enforcement leadership regarding reauthorization requests. The department shall have 30 business days to review and respond to the applicant's request for renewal of the certification. If the department does not respond in writing within 30 business days the request for renewal shall be deemed denied.Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 17, § 7006
