Section 1735.7 - Training of Compounding Staff(a) A pharmacy engaged in compounding shall maintain documentation demonstrating that personnel involved in compounding have the skills and training required to properly and accurately perform their assigned responsibilities and documentation demonstrating that all personnel involved in compounding are trained in all aspects of policies and procedures. This training shall include but is not limited to support personnel (e.g. institutional environmental services, housekeeping), maintenance staff, supervising pharmacist and all others whose jobs are related to the compounding process.(b) The pharmacy shall develop and maintain an on-going competency evaluation process for pharmacy personnel involved in compounding, and shall maintain documentation of any and all training related to compounding undertaken by pharmacy personnel.(c) Pharmacy personnel assigned to compounding duties shall demonstrate knowledge about processes and procedures used in compounding prior to compounding any drug preparation.Cal.
