The State of California reserves the right to audit the contractor's accounting records relating to the administration of the Act. The contractor shall provide access to the facility, premises and records related to any project funded under the Act. This shall extend to the contractor's subcontractors, including personal services contracts. The contractor shall provide reasonable assurances of having a systematic method to afford timely and appropriate resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
Improper expenditure of state funds disclosed in audits shall be recovered by the Department through withholding payments and/or repayment by the contractor at the discretion of the Department.
