Section 1415 - Health Education

With the exception of special purpose juvenile halls, the health administrator for each juvenile facility, in cooperation with the facility administrator, shall develop written policies and procedures to assure that interactive and gender and developmentally appropriate medical, behavioral/mental health and dental health education and disease prevention programs are provided to youth.

The education program content shall be updated as necessary to address current health and community priorities that meet the needs of the confined population.
