Section 1091 - DefinitionsThe following definitions shall apply wherever the terms are used in this article:
(a) Bus--A "bus" is the type of vehicle defined in Vehicle Code Section 233.(b) Deploy--To "deploy" means to operate a wheelchair lift from the stowed position to the position where it is ready to be used.(c) Lift Platform--A "lift platform" is the part of a wheelchair lift upon which the wheelchair rests.(d) Stow--To "stow" means to operate a wheelchair lift to the position in which it is kept while the vehicle is in motion.(e) Wheelchair Lift--A "wheelchair lift" is a device designed to raise and lower persons in wheelchairs.Cal.
