Section 4255 - Fsc Replacement

(a) If an FSC is lost or destroyed, upon request and proof of identification, the DOJ Certified Instructor who issued the original FSC shall issue a replacement FSC via the Firearms Certification System to the original FSC holder.

(b) DOJ Certified Instructors may search the Firearms Certification System for specific FSC records; however, only records of FSCs issued by the DOJ Certified Instructor conducting the search will be displayed.

(c) A replacement FSC can be issued via the Firearms Certification System upon the DOJ Certified Instructor's payment of a five dollar ($5) fee to DOJ.

(d) DOJ Certified Instructors are authorized to charge the FSC holder a five dollar ($5) fee to recover the fee paid to the Department.

Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 11, § 4255

1. New section filed 3-9-2015 as an emergency; operative 3-9-2015 (Register 2015, No. 11). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 9-8-2015 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
2. New section refiled 8-31-2015 as an emergency; operative 8-31-2015 (Register 2015, No. 36). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 11-30-2015 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
3. New section refiled 11-23-2015 as an emergency; operative 11-23-2015 (Register 2015, No. 48). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 2-22-2016 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
4. Certificate of Compliance as to 11-23-2015 order transmitted to OAL 2-9-2016 and filed 3-23-2016 (Register 2016, No. 13).
