Section 2614.5 - Continuances(a) When an administrative law judge or hearing officer has been assigned to a proceeding, no continuance may be granted except by that administrative law judge or hearing officer, and only for good cause shown.(b) When seeking a continuance, a party shall apply for the continuance within 10 working days following the time the party discovered or reasonably should have discovered the event or occurrence that establishes the good cause for the continuance. A continuance may be granted for good cause after the 10 working days have elapsed if the party seeking the continuance is not responsible for and has made a good faith effort to prevent the condition or event establishing the good cause.Cal.
