Section R9-7-1504 - Intrastate Transportation and Storage of Radioactive MaterialsA. A general license is issued to: 1. Any common or contract carrier not exempt under R9-7-103 to receive, possess, transport, and store radioactive material in the regular course of carriage for others or to store radioactive material incident to the transport activities, provided the transportation or storage is in accordance with applicable requirements for the mode of transportof the U.S. Department of Transportation, 49 CFR 171 through 180, revised October 1, 2007, incorporated by reference, and available under R9-7-101. This incorporated material contains no future editions or amendments.2. Any private carrier or licensee who transports and stores radioactive material, provided the transportation and storage are in accordance with the requirements applicable to the mode of transport, of the U.S. Department of Transportation, 49 CFR 171 through 180, revised October 1, 2007, incorporated by reference, and available under R9-7-101. This incorporated material contains no future editions or amendments.B. Any notification of incidents required under federal regulations in subsection (A) shall also be filed with, or made to, the Department.C. A person who transports or stores radioactive material according to the general license in this Section is exempt from the requirements of Article 4 and Article 10 of this Chapter to the extent that this Section applies to transportation of the radioactive material.Ariz.
