Section R9-10-704 - Quality Management

An administrator shall ensure that:

1. A plan is established, documented, and implemented for an ongoing quality management program that, at a minimum, includes:
a. A method to identify, document, and evaluate incidents;
b. A method to collect data to evaluate services provided to residents;
c. A method to evaluate the data collected to identify a concern about the delivery of services related to resident care;
d. A method to make changes or take action as a result of the identification of a concern about the delivery of services related to resident care; and
e. The frequency of submitting a documented report required in subsection (2) to the governing authority;
2. A documented report is submitted to the governing authority that includes:
a. An identification of each concern about the delivery of services related to resident care, and
b. Any change made or action taken as a result of the identification of a concern about the delivery of services related to resident care; and
3. The report required in subsection (2) and the supporting documentation for the report are maintained for at least 12 months after the date the report is submitted to the governing authority.

Readopted without change as an emergency effective July 31, 1989, pursuant to A.R.S. § 41-1026, valid for only 90 days (Supp. 89-3). Permanent rules adopted with changes effective October 30, 1989 (Supp. 89-4). Section R9-10-704 repealed, new Section R9-10-704 adopted effective November 1, 1998, under an exemption from the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act pursuant to Laws 1998, Ch. 178, § 17; filed with the Office of the Secretary of State October 2, 1998 (Supp. 98-4). Section repealed; new Section made by exempt rulemaking at 19 A.A.R. 2015, effective October 1, 2013 (Supp. 13-2).

The following Section was repealed and a new Article adopted under an exemption from the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act which means these rules were not reviewed by the Governor's Regulatory Review Council; the Department did not submit notice of proposed rulemaking to the Secretary of State for publication in the Arizona Administrative Register; and the Department was not required to hold public hearings on these rules (Supp. 98-4).
