Section R3-2-614 - Importation of Sheep and GoatsA. A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection for sheep and goats shall include: 1. A valid entry permit number; and2. A statement that: a. The sheep or goats are not infected with bluetongue, or exposed to scrapie, and do not originate from a scrapie-infected or source flock; andb. The sheep or goats test negative for Brucella ovis if a test is required by R3-2-614 B; and if applicablec. Breeding rams have been individually examined and are free of gross lesions of ram epididymitis.B. A breeding ram six months of age or older shall test negative for Brucella ovis within 30 days of entry or originate from a certified brucellosis-free flock. An exhibition ram that returns to the out-of-state flock of origin within five days of the conclusion of the exhibit is exempt from the testing requirement of this subsection.C. Arizona native commercial flocks participating in a Brucella ovis control program through testing performed by an accredited and licensed veterinarian may return to Arizona from another state without testing, provided the flock has not commingled with other flocks.Ariz.
