Section R21-6-324 - Records Maintained by the Foster ParentA. A foster parent shall maintain a record throughout the care of the foster child of: 1. Each foster child's contact with family members and other significant persons; and2. Educational, medical, vision, dental, or therapeutic care provided to the foster child while living in the home.B. At the discretion of the Department or the licensing agency, a foster parent shall, when requested, provide proof of how the funds designated for a foster child were expended.C. A foster parent shall safeguard a foster child's records to prevent loss, tampering, and unauthorized access.D. A foster parent shall collect and maintain information and materials significant to a foster child's personal history. The collection is sometimes referred to as a "life book":1. Typically includes photos, letters, report cards, school projects, artwork, and souvenirs; and2. Is the property of the child and will go with the child if he or she moves from the foster home.E. Within seven days of the end of a foster child's placement in a home, the foster parent shall provide the Child Placing Agency with:1. The records described in subsection (A); and2.
