Section R20-5-116 - Payment of Claimant's Travel Expenses when Directed to Report for Medical Examination or TreatmentA. If a claimant is directed by a carrier, self-insured employer, or special fund division to report for a medical examination or treatment in a locality other than either the claimant's current place of residence or employment, the carrier, self-insured employer, or special fund division shall pay, in advance, the claimant's travel expenses from either the claimant's current place of residence or employment, whichever route of travel is required.B. For purposes of this Section, "travel expenses" means those expenses required to be paid under A.R.S. § 23-1026.C. The carrier, self-insured employer, or special fund division shall calculate travel expenses using the current rates applicable to state employees.Ariz. Admin. Code § R20-5-116
