Section R18-2-1009 - Tampering Repair RequirementsA. When a vehicle fails the visual inspection for properly installed catalytic converters, the vehicle owner shall replace the converters with new or reconditioned OEM converters, or equivalent new aftermarket converters.
B. When a vehicle fails the visual inspection for the presence of an operational air injection system, the vehicle owner shall install a new, used, or reconditioned, operational air pump on the vehicle according to manufacturer specifications.C. When a gasoline vehicle fails the visual inspection for the presence or malfunction of the positive crankcase ventilation system, the vehicle owner shall repair or replace the system with OEM or equivalent aftermarket parts.D. When a diesel-powered vehicle fails the visual inspection for the presence or malfunction of the closed crankcase ventilation system, the vehicle owner shall repair or replace the system with OEM or equivalent aftermarket parts.E. When a vehicle fails the visual inspection for the presence or malfunction of the evaporative control system, the vehicle owner shall repair or replace the system with OEM or equivalent aftermarket parts.Ariz.
