Section R11-1-234 - Construction of MagazinesA. Magazines shall be constructed in conformity with the provisions of this Section or may be of substantially equivalent construction. Magazines for the storage of Class A explosives, other than black powder, shall be reasonably bullet-resistant, weather-resistant, fire-resistant, theft-resistant and ventilated.B. Magazines shall be posted with warning signs so located that a bullet passing through the face of the sign will not strike the magazine.C. Ground around magazines shall slope away for drainage. The land surrounding magazines shall be kept clear of brush, dried grass, leaves and other combustible materials for a distance of at least 25 feet, and other unnecessary combustible materials for a distance of not less than 50 feet.D. Field magazines shall not be provided with heat or artificial lights, except that if artificial lights are necessary, an electric safety flashlight or safety lantern shall be used.E. Magazines shall not be grounded but have an overhead lightning protective system that is in no way connected to the magazine.Ariz. Admin. Code § R11-1-234
