Section 7 AAC 110.410 - Physician services in a nursing facility(a) For a physician visit to a recipient living in a nursing facility, the department will not pay for more than (1) one initial evaluation and management visit per recipient stay; and(2) one subsequent or established care visit per recipient per 30-day period.(b) In addition to a visit covered under (a) of this section, the department will pay for a physician visit if the physician submits supporting documentation substantiating the medical need for the additional visit.(c) The 30-day limit established in (a)(2) of this section does not apply to a physician service provided in response to a medical emergency.Eff. 2/1/2010, Register 193Authority:AS 47.05.010
