A mental health professional who requests designation as evaluation personnel shall apply for the designation on a form provided by the department. The mental health professional shall certify that he or she qualifies as a mental health professional under AS 47.30.915(13).

In 2014 the revisor of statutes, acting under AS 01.05.031. renumbered paragraphs in AS 47.30.915 to place definitions in alphabetical order; as a result, the definition of "mental health professional" was moved from AS 47.30.915(11) to AS 47.30.915(13). As of Register 212 (January 2015), the regulations attorney made a conforming technical revision under AS 44.62.125(b)(6), to 7 AAC 72.310', so that the cross-reference to former AS 47.30.915(11) now refers to the renumbered paragraph.
