Section 7 AAC 45.255 - Social security enumeration(a) An ATAP applicant shall(1) present to the department or a fee agent the applicant's actual social security card or a photocopy of it;(2) submit a written statement giving the applicant's social security number;(3) enter the applicant's social security number on the ATAP application form;(4) complete a federal Social Security Administration form applying for a number, and comply with all Social Security Administration requirements for completion of the form; or(5) show proof of application for a social security number as part of the state's birth registration process.(b) The department will not delay or deny assistance while a social security number application is being processed or while a social security number is being verified.(c) If an applicant fails to provide or apply for a social security number, the department will not include that applicant's needs in the ATAP eligibility determination or payment calculation.Eff. 8/5/92, Register 123; am 10/1/93, Register 127; am 10/1/97, Register 143; am 1/7/2005, Register 173Authority:AS 47.05.010
