Section 7 AAC 34.030 - Primary care-giver(a) Except as permitted under (b) of this section, an individual may be designated as the primary care giver only for one patient who holds a valid registry identification card.(b) Notwithstanding the limitation of (a) of this section, upon the written request of an applicant for a registry identification card the department will, in its discretion, permit more than one patient to designate the same individual as each patient's primary care-giver (1) in order to avoid unnecessary hardship to the patient;(2) where the patient's care is being provided in a hospice program licensed under AS 18.18; or(3) where the primary care-giver is simultaneously caring for both the applicant and one or more other patients who reside in the same household as the care-giver.Eff. 6/1/99, Register 150Authority:AS 17.37.010
