Section 7 AAC 26.875 - Lapsed paramedic license(a) A paramedic license that has been lapsed for at least 60 days but less than one year will be reinstated if the applicant submits(1) documentation that the continuing medical education requirements of 7 AAC 26.870 have been met;(2) the renewal fees required by 7 AAC 26.870.(b) A paramedic license that has been lapsed for at least one year but less than five years will be reinstated if the applicant submits(1) a complete renewal application on a form provided by the department;(2) documentation that the continuing medical education requirements of 7 AAC 26.870 have been met for the entire period during which the license has been lapsed;(3) verification of licensure from each state where the applicant holds or has ever held a paramedic license or other health care professional license; and(4) the applicable fees required by 7 AAC 26.870.(c) Notwithstanding (a) and (b) of this section, the department may refuse to reinstate a paramedic license for the same reasons that it may impose disciplinary sanctions against a licensee under this chapter.Eff. 1/1/2022,Register 241, April 2021Authority:AS 18.08.010
