Section 7 AAC 24.041 - Health care professional eligibilityA health care professional must meet the following requirements to be eligible to participate in the program:
(1) the health care professional must be eligible under AS 18.29.130(a);(2) the health care professional may not have a simultaneous contract or service obligation with another entity for loan repayment; for purposes of this paragraph, a simultaneous contract or service obligation does not include (A) an employer's sign-on bonus, retention bonus, productivity bonus, or similar employer remuneration;(B) a service obligation in the (i) reserves of the armed forces of the United States;(ii) Alaska National Guard, Alaska Naval Militia, or Alaska State Defense Force; or(iii) commissioned corps of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Surgeon General, Public Health Service;(3) the health care professional must be qualified to work in the United States and provide adequate evidence of citizenship, naturalization, or permanent residency to the employer to satisfy employment requirements.Eff. 12/25/2020, Register 236, January 2021
