A certificate of marriage for each marriage performed within Alaska shall be filed with the local registrar of the registration district in which the marriage was performed within seven days after such marriage; provided that for marriages performed by a duly appointed marriage commissioner, such certificate shall be filed in accordance with the law, regulations, and instructions pertaining to marriage commissioners. The certificate form shall be prescribed by the State Registrar.
