Section 4 AAC 05.010 - Purpose(a) The purpose of this chapter is to ensure that, consistent with the desires of parents and of local communities, the children of school age in the state have the opportunity to attend an elementary or secondary school in the local communities in which they reside.(b) Nothing in this chapter is intended to require the construction of a new facility in which to conduct a school established under this chapter, if there exists in the community a suitable facility in which the school may be conducted.Eff. 9/3/76, Register 59; am 6/11/95, Register 134Authority:AS 14.07.020
