Section 3 AAC 31.900 - DefinitionsIn this chapter,
(1) "all lines" means both life lines and property and casualty lines;(2) "director" means the director of the division of insurance;(3) "division" means the division of insurance, Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development;(4) "life lines" means life, health, annuities, credit life and disability, and, if qualified, variable life and variable annuities;(6) "property and casualty lines" means property, casualty, surety, marine, mortgage guaranty, and, if qualified, health insurance as defined in AS 21.12.050.(7) "department" means the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development.(8) "type of insurance" means, for property and casualty insurers, the Type of Insurance as defined and identified within the appUcable Uniform Property & Casualty Product Coding Matrix adopted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, revised as of January 1, 2020, and adopted by reference.Eff. 12/4/94, Register 132; am 4/20/97, Register 142; am 11/26/2015, Register 216, January 2016; am 3/3/2018, Register 225, April 2018; am 12/20/2020, Register 236, January 2021The National Association of Insurance Commissioners' Uniform Property & Casualty Product Cod'ins Matrix, 2020 edition, adopted by reference in 3 AAC 31.900, may be obtained from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners; 1100 Walnut Street.
