Section 3 AAC 04.130 - Public notice of filing of application for certificate of authority(a) A notice required to be published under AS 06.26.100 must be published at least once each week for two successive weeks(1) in the manner required under AS 06.26.100 for the community proposed as the trust company's principal place of business; and(2) in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau; for each community, the notice must be published in a newspaper of general circulation published in that community.(b) The first publication of the notice must appear within 15 days after the date of the department's notification under AS 06.26.100(a). The notice must state(1) the name of the proposed trust company;(2) the date on which the department accepted the application;(3) the geographic and product market to be served;(4) the proposed capital and paid-in capital and surplus;(5) that a copy of the application, the articles of incorporation, and a list of the names and addresses of the organizers, incorporators, initial board of directors, and company's chief executive and financial officers, except for information made confidential under 3 AAC 04.120(b), may be obtained from the department;(6) a request for persons to submit comments and objections to the department; and(7) the address of the department.(c) Within 60 days after the last date that the notice required by (a) of this section is published, a person opposing approval of the application may file a written objection with the department.(d) The applicant shall file with the department an affidavit of publication from the newspaper in which the notice was published.Eff. 3/29/2008, Register 185Authority:AS 06.26.100
