Section 20 AAC 05.1825 - Prehearing conferences, orders, subpoenas, depositions, and documents
(a) The hearing officer may issue orders and schedule prehearing conferences requiring the attendance of parties in order to establish procedures for discovery and briefing, simplify the issues, discuss settlement, and otherwise facilitate resolution of a proceeding.
(b) Upon the hearing officer's own motion or upon request of an applicant or other party for good cause shown, the hearing officer may issue subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum to compel production of testimony or other evidence.
(c) The hearing officer may order that the testimony of a material witness be taken by deposition.
(d) Unless good cause is shown or unless otherwise ordered by the hearing officer, depositions and other documents intended to be used at hearing must be filed with the hearing officer at least 14 days before the scheduled hearing.
