Section 17 AAC 45.065 - Firearms(a) Unless authorized by the department for airport wildlife hazard control, a person may not discharge a firearm across any portion of a runway, taxiway, or aircraft parking area.(b) Before boarding an air carrier aircraft at an airport operated by the department under 49 C.F.R. Part 1542, a passenger transporting a firearm shall check the firearm, unloaded and encased in a closed container designed for transporting firearms, as or within luggage and notify the air carrier that the luggage contains a firearm.(c) In this section, "firearm" has the meaning given in AS 11.81.900.Eff. 3/28/2002, Register 161; am 11/23/2003, Register 168A list of airports operated by the department under 49 C.F.R. Part 1542 is available at the commissioner's office at the address provided in 17 AAC 45.005.
