Section 12 AAC 32.995 - Definitions

In this chapter

(1) "department" means the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development;
(2) "division" means the division of corporations, business and professional licensing in the department;
(3) "four-plex" means a building containing four dwelling units erected on a common foundation;
(4) "low voltage signaling systems" means electrical circuits that supply no more than 48 volts to ground or less, to appliances that give a recognizable signal, such as doorbells, buzzers, code-calling systems, signal lights, and similar signal giving devices; the phrase does not include control circuits or control devices that direct the performance of any mechanical or electrical appliances that have a main power source greater than 48 volts to ground;
(5) "National Electrical Code" is the code approved by the American National Standards Institute;
(6) "National Electrical Safety Code" is the code issued by the United States Department of Commerce, bureau of standards;
(7) "journeyman" means an individual who holds a certificate of fitness issued by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development under AS 18.62 or an equivalent certificate issued by another licensing jurisdiction;
(8) repealed 11/26/94.
