A purchaser of timber under this chapter shall if required by the contract, before beginning operations within the timber sale area, and before beginning operations each calendar year thereafter, prepare an annual plan of operations acceptable to the director. The plan of operations may be modified by written mutual agreement of the director and the purchaser.
