Section 11 AAC 20.956 - Use of Alyeska Ski Resort Recreational Facility
(a) The Alyeska Ski Resort Recreational Facility is that area covered by Alaska Division of Land Lease 226089 and is a recreational facility for the purposes of AS 41.21.950-41.21.960.
(b) Within the Alyeska Ski Resort Recreational Facility, a skier, as defined by AS 09.65.135(c)(3), may not
(1) ski on a slope or trail that the ski area operator has closed to the public at each identified entrance to the trail or slope by
(A) posting with any form of closure signage, including a sign of any shape or color that incorporates the international closed symbol or the word "closed";
(B) other reasonably posted signage; or
(C) means of ropes or fences;
(2) use a ski or other sliding device unless it is equipped with a strap or other device capable of stopping it if it becomes detached from the skier;
(3) cross the uphill track of a J-bar, T-bar, platter pull, rope tow, or surface lift except at a location designated by the operator, or place an object in an uphill track;
(4) ski recklessly in a way that endangers the safety of others.
(c) A violation of a closure or restriction under this section is a violation of 11 AAC 12.335(e). A citation for violating this section is amenable to disposition without court appearance upon payment and forfeiture of the bail amount under 11 AAC 12.335(e) as set out in Rule of Administration 43.3 (Parks Bail Forfeiture Schedule).
