Section 930-X-1-.17 - Investigations

The Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and its staff shall have the right to conduct investigations of alleged professional misconduct of a licensee or any other individual who falls under the jurisdiction of this practice act. Upon the conclusion of an investigation, the Board or its authorized representatives with Board approval shall determine whether the matter warrants dismissal, with or without a private informed admonition, a private reprimand, public censure, or the filing of a formal complaint. The licensee or any other individual, who falls under the jurisdiction of this practice act, within fourteen days after being advised of the decision as to a proposed private reprimand or public censure, shall be entitled to demand that he or she be given the right to a hearing as provided herein.
