The Board shall meet at least two times each year at a time and place fixed by the Board. Other meetings may be called by the president of the Board by giving notice as may be required by rule or by the vicepresident, if the president is disqualified. A majority of the Board shall constitute a quorum. At the last regularly scheduled meeting of the calendar year, the Board shall organize by electing a president and a vicepresident, and other such officers deemed necessary. The executive director shall serve as secretarytreasurer. Officers of the Board shall serve for terms of one year or until a successor is elected without limitation on the number of terms an officer may serve. The Board shall consist of eight members appointed by the Governor as provided for in the Alabama Veterinary Practice Act.
