Section 760-X-20-.18 - Medical Review Boards(1) In those cases in which the Department is unable to make a determination regarding a person's eligibility to safely operate a motor vehicle, the person's case will be submitted to a panel of three doctors who are specialists in the medical condition which affects the person's ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.(2) Prior to the submission to a medical review board, the Department will give written notice to the person by first class mail sent to the person's most recent mailing address on file with the Department that their case is being submitted to a medical review board, that they have 14 days to submit to the Department any information they wish to be considered by the review board including information from any advocacy groups.(3) A review board may assess the person's medical history and make a recommendation to the Department.
