Section 750-X-6-.02 - American Psychological Association Ethical Principals of Psychologists and Code of Conduct and Appendix II

(1) American Psychological Association Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct, 2003 Edition (as amended 2010, 2016), effective January 1, 2017, or its successive editions, set forth as Appendix II to the Administrative Code of the Alabama Board of Examiners in Psychology, is adopted.

(2) The board shall suspend, place on probation, or require remediation for any psychologist or psychological technician for a specified time, to be determined at the discretion of the board, or revoke any license to practice as a psychologist or psychological technician or take any other action specified in the rules whenever the board finds by a preponderance of the evidence that the psychologist or psychological technician has violated the Code of Ethics.

Rule entitled "Standards for Providers of Psychological Services (Appendix VI)" filed September 21, 1982. Amended: Filed November 5, 1987 (rule title changed to "Standards for the Providers of Psychological Services (Appendix IV)". Amended: Filed April 6, 1989 (rule title changed to "General Guidelines for Providers of Psychological Services (Appendix IV)"). Repealed and New Rule entitled "American Psychological Association Ethical Principles of Psychologists, As amended 1989 (Appendix II)" filed April 5, 1990. Adopt By Reference: February 4, 1993. Repealed and New Rule (Appendix II): Filed May 13, 2003; effective June 17, 2003. Repealed and New Rule (also Appendix II): Filed March 16, 2012; effective April 20, 2012.
