Section 680-X-2-.06 - Absence Of Licensed Pharmacist Supervising An Assistant

In the event a licensed pharmacist who is supervising an assistant has left the premises, a sign shall be posted in a prominent place on the prescription counter, easily viewed by the public, giving the pharmacist's name, the hours he will be away from the premises, and the address and telephone number where he can be reached; or if an alternative supervising pharmacist is being used, the sign shall give that pharmacist's name, address, and telephone number where he can be reached. The supervising pharmacist must be able to return to the store premises within a reasonable period of time. The State Board of Pharmacy defines reasonable in this context to mean no longer than 30 minutes following a request for his appearance.
