Section 420-7-1-.02 - Registration Districts

(1) In addition to the Center for Health Statistics, each county in the state shall be a registration district as specified in Code of Ala. 1975, § 22-9A-4.

(2) The local vital records office within each registration district shall be located within the county health department in each county. Counties may choose to locate vital record functions within branch offices of the county health department with permission of the State Registrar.
