ACTION:

Proposed rule.

SUMMARY:

This document requests comments on a petition for rule making filed on behalf of Southern Broadcasting Companies, Inc., licensee of Station WXKT (FM), Channel 261A, Washington, Georgia, requesting the reallotment of Channel 261A from Washington to Watkinsville, Georgia, and modification of its authorization accordingly, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1.420(i) of the Commission's Rules. The coordinates for requested Channel 261A at Watkinsville, Georgia, are 33-52-19 and 83-15-19.

Petitioner's reallotment proposal complies with the provisions of Section 1.420(i) of the Commission's Rules, and therefore, the Commission will not accept competing expressions of interest in the use of Channel 261A at Watkinsville, Georgia, or require the petitioner to demonstrate the availability of an additional equivalent class channel.

The provisions of the Regulatory Flexibility Act of 1980 do not apply to this proceeding.
