Description of Request: The Tehachapi-Cummings County Water District proposes to surrender its exemption from licensing for the conduit Power Recovery Number 1 Project because the generator and system are in need of extensive repair and the repair costs would not be realized over the next 20 years. The project consists of a bypass conduit at the existing pressure reducing station, a single turbine-generator unit with a rated capacity of 0.46 kW, and 100 feet of 12.0-kV transmission line. The applicant proposes to remove some pipe and add blind flanges.
