SUMMARY:

This notice amends the notice of a major disaster declaration for the State of North Carolina (FEMA-1553-DR), dated September 18, 2004, and related determinations.

Effective October 8, 2004.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The notice of a major disaster declaration for the State of North Carolina is hereby amended to include the following areas among those areas determined to have been adversely affected by the catastrophe declared a major disaster by the President in his declaration of September 18, 2004:

Ashe and Swain Counties for Public Assistance (already designated for Individual Assistance.)

Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Transylvania, Watauga, and Yancey Counties for Public Assistance [Categories C through G] (already designated for Individual Assistance and Public Assistance [Categories A and B], including direct Federal assistance, at 100 percent for the total eligible costs for a period of up to 72 hours.)
