SUMMARY:

In accordance with 37 CFR 404.6, announcement is made of the availability for licensing of U.S. Patent Application Serial Number 09/535,117 entitled “Multivalent Dengue Virus Vaccine”, filed March 24, 2000. Foreign rights are also available. This patent application has been assigned to the United States Government as represented by the Secretary of the Army.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The invention provides vaccine compositions of attenuated dengue virus. More specifically, the attenuated virus is produced by serial passage in PDK cells. The invention also provides methods for stimulating the immune system of an individual to induce protection against all four dengue virus serotypes by administration of attenuated dengue-1, dengue-2, dengue-3 and dengue-4 virus.
