ACTION:

Notice and request for comments.

SUMMARY:

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has submitted the following information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance in accordance with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). The submission describes the nature of the information collection, the categories of respondents, the estimated burden (i.e., the time, effort and resources used by respondents to respond) and cost, and includes the actual data collection instruments FEMA will use.

Title: Claims for National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

OMB Number: 1660-0005.

Abstract: The claims forms used for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) are used by policyholders and adjusters to collect the information needed to investigate, document, evaluate, and settle claims against National Flood Insurance Program policies for flood damage to their insured property or qualification for benefits under Increased Cost of Compliance coverage.

Affected Public: Individuals or Households, Business or Other for Profit, Non-for-Profit Institutions, Farms, Federal Government, State, Local or Tribal Government.

Number of Respondents: 5,000.
