The Court has read the parties' Joint Trial Setting Conference Statement. The Court is informed by the parties that there is a pending federal case in Pennsylvania filed by the plaintiff, in which Ms. Smith is intending to file a noticed motion before the trial date to seek a stay in this action pending the resolution of the Pennsylvania case, or seek bifurcation as to the cross-complaint. The parties have also participated in settlement discussions with no success and do not believe that setting a Mandatory Settlement Conference will be beneficial at this time. Jury trial estimate: 10 days The Court finds/orders: On the Court's motion, Mandatory Settlement Conference is scheduled on 08/19/2021 at 10:00 AM in Courtroom 22. All mandatory settlement conferences shall be conducted remotely through the Zoom platform as set forth in Administrative Order No. 20.29.
