On February 23, 2017, this court received an ex parte request from the minor beneficiaries' father for appointment as guardian ad litem. The court was resistant to approve the request for that appointment, inasmuch as decedent's will expressly disinherited the wife of the proposed guardian ad litem, rendering the guardian ad litem's allegiance subject to potential conflict.
