At 11:25 a.m., back on-the-record: At 11:27 a.m. The Bailiff, Bob Steele is sworn to take custody of the jury and thereafter escorts them to the jury/deliberation room. Alternate jurors is excused on-call. The court receive oral stipulation of counsel that the jurors can be excused for breaks and recesses without the need of returning to the courtroom, and any requests for supplies may also be given to the jurors without the need of counsel returning to the courtroom. At 11:30 a.m., the court stands in recess; counsel remain on call. At 12:01 p.m., the bailiff informs court that the jurors have recessed until 1:30 p.m. At 1:30 p.m. the jury reentered the jury room and deliberations resumed. (At 3:15 p.m., jury request #1 submitted; counsel notified) At 3:30 p.m. Court reconvenes with plaintiff(s), defendant(s) and counsel present as noted above. Court and counsel confer on a reply to jury request #1. At 3:35 p.m., an agreed upon answer to the jury request is sent in to the jury room. Court in recess; counsel remain on call. The court addresses counsel regarding verdict process. At 3:55 p.m., the bailiff is directed to retrieve the jurors from the jury room. At 4:00 p.m. This being the time scheduled for reading of the verdict in the above entitled cause, all parties and counsel appear as noted above and court is in session. The jury is escorted into the courtroom. Upon the Court's inquiry, the presiding juror states that the jury has reached a verdict. At the direction of the Court, the clerk reads the verdict.
