Case No. R=2931 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES January 26, 194.2 - On September 25, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding? Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on October 23, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Nine- teenth Region (Seattle, Washington). On October 25, 1941, the Re- gional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total on eligibility list-------------------------------------- 329 Votes cast for Local #5-92, International Wood,,yorkers of America, C. I. 0------------------------------------------- 83, Votes cast for Lumber & Sawmill Workers, Local No. 2714, A. F. of L------------------------------------------------ 201 Votes cast for Neither-------------------------------------------- 4 Total challenged ballots------------------------------------- 20 Total valid votes cast -----------_--------------------- 288 Total on eligibility list not voting---------------------------- 21 Thereafter, Local #5-92, International Woodworkers of America, herein called the I. W. A., filed objections to the conduct of the election. On November 12, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued a Report on Objections find- ing that the objections raised no substantial or material issues with 1 35 N. We have considered the objections of the I. W. A. and the Regional Director's report thereon. We are of the opinion that the objections raise no'substantial or material issues with respect to the conduct of the election. The objections are hereby overruled. CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela- tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Riles and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Lumber & Sawmill Workers, Local No. 2714, A. F. of L., has been designated and selected by a majority of the production, maintenance, and transportation employees of Willamette Valley Lumber Company, Dallas, Oregon, including the head sawyers, but excluding management, office, clerical, and super- visory employees, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Lumber & Sawmill Workers, Local No. 2714, A.
