On July 15, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to-Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties Election Reports on the ballot. The Board has considered the objections filed by the Company and the Regional Director's repoit theieon«and finds that the'ob- jections raise no substantial„ or mateiial issues with respect to the conduct of the ballot and the Election Report. They are therefore overruled. In the Decision and Direction of Elections previously referred to, the Board made no final determination as to the appropriate unit, stating that if a majority of the employees in the switchboard and panelboard assembly department, and a majority of the employees in the motor department selected the same bargaining representa- tive the employees of the two departments would constitute a single appropriate unit. Upon the entree record in the case, the Board makes the following: SUPPLEMENTAL FINDINGS OF FACT We find. that all employees of, the , switchboard and panelboard partment of Wes$inghouseassembly department and- of the motor-de Electric & Manufacturing Company, Los Angeles, California, ex- cluding salesmen, draftsmen, office workers, janitors, night watch- men, and supervisory and clerical employees, constitute a unit ap- propriate for the purposes, of collective bargaining within the meaning of Section 9 (b) of the National Labor Relations Act. CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 1206 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL -LABOR RELATIONS BOARD and 9, of National Laboi Relations Boaid Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that United Electrlcal, Radio & Machine Workers of America, Local 1421, affiliated with the Congress of In- dustrial Organizations, has been designated-and selected by a ma- jority of the employees in the switchboard and panelboard assembly department and the motor 'department of Westinghouse Electric & Manufactuiing Company,_ Los Angeles, California, excluding sales- men, draftsmen, office workers, janitors, night watchmen, and super- visory and clerical employees, as-their representative for the pur- poses of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a)' of the Act, United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of Amer- ica, Local 1421, affiliated with the Congress of Industiial Oi ganlza- tlons, is the exclusive representative of -all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to I ates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment MR GERARD D REILLY took no phi t in the consideration of the above Supplemental Decision and Certification of Repiesentatives. t"n "" i 1 I" Copy with citationCopy as parenthetical citation
