I. and LOCAL 1779, FEDERATION OF WOOLEN & WORSTED WORKERS OF AMERICA , UTWA-AFL Case No. R-3267 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND ORDER January 20, 1942 On December 6, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in this proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on December 30, 1941, by the Regional Director for the First Region (Boston, Massachusetts). On Decem- ber 31, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by either of the parties. As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total number eligible to vote________________________________ 341 Total number of votes cast__________________________________ 318 Total number of valid votes_________________________________ 317 Total number of ballots marked for "Yes"____________________ 98 Total number of ballots marked for "No"_____________________ 219 Total number of blank ballots_______________________________ 0 Total number of void ballots_________________________________ 1 Total number of challenged ballots___________________________ 0 The results of the election show that no collective bargaining repre- sentative has been selected by a majority of the employees of Walter Marshall Spinning Corporation of R. I., Thornton, Rhode Island, in the unit heretofore found to be appropriate for collective bargain- ing.
