CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES

On June 25, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a
Decision and Direction of Election in this proceeding 1 Pursuant
to the Direction of Election, an election by secret, ballot was con-
ducted on July 23, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the
Regional Director for the Seventeenth Region (Kansas City, Mis-
souri) On July 23, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to
Article III, Section 9, of National Labor, Relations Board Rules
and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon
the parties an Election Report No objections to the conduct of the
ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by either of the
parties.
As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director repoited

IT Is HEREBY CERTIFIED that Commercial Telegraphers Union,
Local #112, affiliated ' with the American Federation of Labor, has
been designated and selected by a majority of all commercial, traffic,
and plant department employees of The Western Union Telegraph
Company in the offices located in the Seventh District of its Lake
Division, including managers at non-functional offices Pnd late night
chief operator at Cedar Rapids, but excluding district superinten-
dent, district sales managers, chief clerk to district superintendent,
managers and chief operators at functional offices, employees in
divisional cities, early night operator at Cedar Rapids, confidential
clerk at Cedar Rapids, temporary employees, messengers employed
exclusively in errand and distribution services, and floating gangs,
as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and
that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Commercial Telegraphers
Union, Local #112, affiliated with the American Federation of La-
bor, is the exclusive representative of all such employee,, for the pur-
poses of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours
of employment, and other conditions of employment.
