On May 18, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a
Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceedings'-
On June 3, 1942, the Board issued an Amendment to Decision and
Direction of Election., Pursuant to the Direction of Election, as
amended, an election by _ seci et ballot was conducted on June 14,
1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for
the Seventeenth Region (Kansas City, Missouri) On June 22, 1942,
the Regional Directoi, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of
National Labor Relations Boaid Rules and Regulations-Series 2,
as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election
Report on the ballot No objections to the conduct of the ballot or
the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties
As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported

IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Com nei cial Telegi aphei s' Union, Local
#23, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, has been desig-
nated and selected by a majority of all employees at the Wichita,
Kansas, office of The Western Union Telegraph Company, excluding
the city superintendent, manager of delivery, chief operators, chief
clerk, city foreman, sales manager, messengers engaged exclusively in
errand and distribution service, and temporary employees, as their
representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that,
pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Commercial Telegraphers'
Union, Local #23, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor,
is the exclusive iepresentative of all such employees-for the purposes
of collective bargaining in iespect to rates of pay, wages, hours of
employment, and other conditions of employment.
