On March 26,1942,.the Board issued an Amend- ment.to Decision and Direction of Election 2 The Board, having been advised by ,the Regional Director that a .longer time -in which to hold the election is necessary, hereby amends its Direction of.Election, as amended,•by striking therefrom the words "within thirty (30), days from the date of this Direction" and substi- tuting the words therefor-"within forty-five (45)=days from the date of this Direction." 1 39 N. Case No. 8-3576 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES April 29, 1942 On March 9, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board; herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction, of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' On March 26, 1942, the Board issued an Amendment to Decision and Direction of Election.2 On April 3, 1942, the Board issued a Second Amendment to Direction of -Elec- tion, Pursuant to the Direction of Election, as amended, an elec- tion by secret ballot was conducted on April 15, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Fifteenth Region (New Orleans, Louisiana). On April 17, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III', Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report on the ballot. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. IT Is HEREBY CERTIFIED, that Commerical Telegraphers' Union, Local 33, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, has been des- ignated and selected by a majority of all employees at the Little Rock,' Arkansas, office of The Western Union Telegraph Company, excluding the city superintendent, sales manager, delivery-manager, .traffic managers, assistant chief operator, T. and R. chief, city fore- man, temporary employees, and messengers engaged exclusively in errand and distribution service, as their representative for the pur- poses of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Commercial Telegraphers' Union, Local 33, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment; and other conditions of employment.
